Our first proof-of-concept version of Targetware is a massive multi-player
gaming system focused on air-to-air combat from the dawn of flight through the Korean war.
Like Microsoft's Combat Flight Simulator or Microprose's European Air War,
Targetware 0.64
encourages the player community to develop their own campaigns, planes, skins, terrains
and flight models, but with the ability to have a massively multi-player environment such
as WarBirds or Aces High. A large community of artists, 3D modelers, Lua coders
and game designers has formed around an interest in creating multi-player combat flight-simulator games with Targetware 0.64.
There are several separate game mods built utilizing the Targetware 0.64 environment.
Some popular mods include:

We are currently focused on the development of our full-scale open architecture platform design which we are calling Targetware 2.
All elements of the Targetware 2 platform will be manipulated using the embedded Lua scripting language.
These elements include:
- 3D models and animations for individuals, vehicles, vessels, and fixed structures
- Mobility models for all objects
- Computer controlled agent behaviors
- Ordnance models
- Full terrain support using all publicly available data sources
- Special effects
- Sound
- Weather
- User Interface
- All application logic
While we are building Targetware 2, we are dedicated to maintaining the existing Targetware 0.64 network infrastructure in order to allow our community to continue using Targetware 0.64 free of charge.
